Panthers and Pussycats
Tuesday’s Child first official fundraiser, a pub quiz and auction, raised £9000 for children in Bosnia-Herzegovina and Brazil. Local auctioneer Peter Murdoch took the hammer on the night. Guests included a lady pussycat, last seen driving off with the pink panther in his pink super-stretch limo.
silent discoSilent Disco
Dance fever with a difference hit Belfast in September when Tuesday’s child invited Silent Disco for its first visit to Northern Ireland. St George’s market opened its doors to partygoers in the city who danced the night away under the stars. The event was supported by Lavery’s Bar Ltd. Proceeds from this event were sent to the starving children of Gaza.
DEAD RINGERSDead Ringers
Dead ringers fancy dress welcomed the famous, dead and alive, to their old haunt in The Errigle Inn, Belfast at Halloween, also in aid of children in Gaza.

HEY JUDEHey Jude
Jude’s Bar, Belfast’s liveliest new venue, hosted the launch of the Tuesday’s Child music album in Northern Ireland on Thursday 8th November 2007.

Artists and musicians featuring on the album mingled with the media and Tuesday’s Child Director, Orla Sheehan, gave a heartfelt address. Duke Special, Eleanor McEvoy, Julie Feeney and Ben Glover all made guest appearances on the day as well as Belfast singer-songwriter Gerry Creen, among others. The launch was also attended by Jon Astley (www.closetotheedge.biz), who compiled the album for Tuesday’s Child.

The eye-catching cover, the brainchild of Neworld Associates (www.neworld.com), Dublin proved a big draw for the media. The album launch featured on both the BBC and UTV evening news courtesy of Mervyn Jess (BBC) and Ivan Little (UTV); thank you both. The album went on sale on Friday 9th November in all good music outlets in Northern Ireland. Thanks to everyone who supported the launch. Thanks also to Gerry Anderson and Ralph McClean of Radio Ulster, George Jones and Lynda Bryans of U105, Lynda Bryans and Downtown radio for all the radio play.

Children live in the Home and receive all their meals there. They attend the nearby school. There is no outdoor play area and leisure facilities within the home are minimal. The children need a safe playground area to play in as well as books, toys, games and a computer playstation... (the right to play and leisure, the right to be safe, the right to information).
